I've played several escape rooms and this one just didn't make sense. I don't know who designed it but we barely made it through half the room and that was with as many hints as we could get. Very frustrating and didn't feel encouraged by our helper. While we were right on time (but supposed to be 15 minutes early), there was no one after us but had to cut our escape short. Would have been nice to give us the extra time, especially since we were struggling. No good props like other escape rooms.

We were in the murder mystery room, and it was amazing! It was difficult but really fun. It was my first escape room experience, and it lived up to the hype!

I did the prehistoric room with 3 friends from a volunteer group I am a part of, and we had a great time. It was my first experience with am escape room, but I thought Keisha (our host) was really welcoming, helpful, and patient. The clues ranged from very easy to a WTF but we were able to successfully complete the room.I would recommend this place if you want a fun team building activity or just want to spend an hour with friends.

We had a great time. The host was nice. However, the music playing when we walked in had extremely strong language. I just think that could be a better choice. I love all genres of music but I would not play that in a public area.

I purchased 6 tickets for the Primal Quest room for my son’s birthday and as soon as we arrived, Keisha(sp?) greeted us with a warm smile and pleasant personality. She explained the directions thoroughly, extremely patient with our questions and was super attentive to our needs. The room itself was challenging and realistic. I will definitely be going here again! Thanks Keisha!!

Myself and two others came here as a birthday event. We had also much fun! The puzzles were reasonably challenging with solid clues to give you plenty to deliberate about. It was super satisfying. Kesha was the person who got us all setup and was so nice! She went above and beyond and made the night special for everyone! We will be back for the other rooms soon.

I will first say that the staff is super nice... but that is about it.

We did Primal Room and we have done 20ish escape rooms and never one like this. The story didn't make sense, the game master gave us the answers, instead of clues...they even came in the room a few times.

The place is next to impossible to locate... half the escape is trying to escape out of downtown DC to find the gate that leads to this place.

Odd too that you get walkie talkies and they don't have it over speaker...

Idk, makes me think this is a newer place and they just need training on how to run an escape room- but again, super nice workers, just maybe not trained.

PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER GOING HERE!!!! IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY, TIME, AND IT WILL RUIN YOUR EVENING AND YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS ESCAPE ROOMS.

I booked the primal quest escape room for four for my boyfriend's birthday. Right away I should've known what we had gotten ourselves into. The gate to get in was hidden, the code didn't work, the stairs were not ADA compliant, the water cooler was broken, no one stood up to greet us, it was dirty, it was cramped, and it smelt bad. They put us into a room with a walkie talkie.

The primal quest room is supposed to be their easiest room but as soon as we got in there I quickly realized that some of these puzzles were made for 5-year-olds and some of them were IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE. Literally, no way to use 1) logic or 2) critical thinking skills to solve it, THE WHOLE ENTIRE POINT OF AN ESCAPE ROOM. When we asked for a hint over the walkie, instead of giving us a "hint" she gave us THE ANSWER!!!. WHAT IS THIS MESS???

Then it started to get super super bad. We needed another "hint" for one of the other terrible puzzles, we asked over the walkie and... radio silence. She's gone. Where did she go? We keep asking, as our time keeps counting down, and 5 MINUTES LATER she comes back on the walkie, saying she's "helping another customer..." um excuse me, ma'am, you're supposed to be our GAME MASTER, HELPING OUR GAME ALONG THE WAY BECAUSE WE ARE ON A CLOCK... and when we walked in there were two employees in the "lobby" so I don't understand why she was multitasking. A game master has to have their eyes and ears on their groups at all times!!!! So after another 3 minutes, THIS LADY STRAIGHT UP WALKS INTO THE ROOM. This is a huge no-no in the world of escape rooms. You're never supposed to ruin the "surreal' experience of the escape for the guest. But she walks in and begins EXPLAINING THE CLUE TO US. I am mortified. She walks into the room SEVERAL more times after this, she gives only 2 extra minutes on the timer because of her mistake the walkies, of course we didn't escape. I cannot believe how mad I am at this point. They don't even take a proper picture of us.

So please if you've made it this far, DON'T EVER BOOK WITH PANIQ ESCAPE ROOM DC!!!

My family and I have played 70+ rooms. We love escape rooms and one of the things we wanted to do while on vacation in DC was play some excellent escape rooms. After a poor experience at another local room, we decided to try PanIQ.

It's small. It's low tech. It doesn't have a fancy lobby, or serve food/drinks... but the room was pretty good. The design was solid, and the atmosphere was on point. The puzzles were fairly average. Not great, but not terrible. They generally made sense, though there were a few leaps in logic that might have been a LITTLE far. All in all, though, it was a good experience.

We played Insane Asylum II, and if there is one complaint we had, it was that the Game Master gave us WAY too much information. She basically told us how to do the entire first room. She said most teams have a hard time with it, but we definitely did not. And we didn't need the walkthrough in any way, shape or form. There was also one prop in that room that needs replacing. We knew what to do, but had a really hard time doing it simply because the prop was in such bad shape.

Regardless, we would have played another room had there been any more availability there.
