Unfortunately, we only had an hour and a half to spend at this wonderful gallery. Due to the time crunch we took the advice of the woman at the information desk and headed straight up to see the Presidents. Looking beyond the famous men depicted,...More

Visited with our to girls 11 & 14. Found the artwork very beautiful and interesting. I has a beautiful atrium cafe and the portraits of people from our history were amazing. They even had music in one of the halls from a live band and...More

Good experience, but had to cut our visit short because of an early closure due to weather. Seems like some of the more interesting exhibit was on the third floor, which we did not see.

I've heard great things about this museum and it did not disappoint. I loved the diversity in art even though 95% of the museum was portraits. The building itself, especially the great hall on the third floor, is also a must see.

I actually came here by myself after work one day. I just walked around, especially the temporary Norman Rockwell exhibit, that sucked me in. The work is fantastic. They also sell wine.

Stop by this wonderful building to check out the portraits in this terrific setting. There are famous and not-so-famous paintings and photographs, as well as great special exhibitions.

This is a full-fledged museum, not just presidential portraits. The winter 2016 Irving Penn show is outstanding. Allow the better part of a day to see all three floors.

This is a really fun museum. Lots of things to look at and the top floor is beautiful. It is worth a look if you have the time.

At the National Portrait Gallery you show up at the appointed time for walkin tours. Meet behind the information desk on the F Street side of the building. Enjoy.
