Give yourself about 2.5 hours or more to visit this place. There is so much to see that you will want to stop at every exhibit and take it in. I have a pretty good command of American history, so I was just thrilled to...More

A perfect break for tired walking kids are the Planetarium and the IMAX! Loved the rockets, the Moon rock, and the timeline of space missions too

We went with friends and had 13 year olds, 11 and 9. They all enjoyed the museum. A few more benches would be nice:)

All types of planes and space modules together. Educational for children, but very busy around noon.

This is a fantastic place to visit is you have any interest in aviation at all. There are things to see for every age. Classic aircraft to missiles and aircraft you will have never seen before.

You will like this place if u're interested in inventions and air traveling. It's free entry. We got 1 and half hour to visit the place. It's a must see place if u're visiting to DC. Check out the photos.

What a great museum! Fantastic exhibits. Admission is FREE, so "splurge" and buy an IMAX movie experience. It was fantastic.

This is by far one of the best museums in the Smithsonian Basket. Very interesting displays...the most unique being the Moon rock. You can actually touch it, even if yo have never been to the moon. The Apollo missions have been covered in great detail...More

We quickly visited the museum and we were surprised it was free. The exhibitions were extensive and interesting. Make sure to have enough time. We did it in two hours and it was way too short! Worth a visit anyway! It would be a pity...More

A great free museum where you can see The Wright Brother's first plane and a lot of other great sciencey stuff. A tip: enter via the back entrance on Independence avenue - there are virtually no queues there unlike the main entrance.

Does anyone know if there is a scooter rental company right near the mall? Not sure my husband can spend a whole day walking it. But only need it for one day to do the memorials and monuments.
