The history is awesome, but a lot has happened in recent years that perhaps should be included......

The planes were really cool and it was amazing to see the history and evolution of planes. Unfortunately, we didn't get to explore as much and see everything the museum had to offer as we had limited time. The museum also offered free internet which was really nice.

This was one museum that was crowded with boys and men. I guess it takes a bunch of planes, etc. to get the men in your life into a museum. It's worthy for everyone, women included. Lots of interesting areas to view and spend a few hours out of the outside elements - and learn something while you are doing... More

Washington is great for it's free museums. However, having been to several air and space museums before, I wasn't impressed by this one. Sadly, one comes to expect big things from a Capitol's attractions. With so many choices this could be one that is skipped IF you've been to others around the country.

While security may be tighter than at some of the other Smithsonian museums it's worth the wait to get in and see the treasures inside. Great for all ages as they have very interactive displays and helpful staff. The layout of some of the exhibits having to double back was a little weird, but besides that it was a great... More

Great place for the kids and adults too. They have 2 lines, one for people with backpacks and 1 for people without them. The line for backpacks was WAY shorter on our visit. So make sure you are in the right line and grab a backpack to get in faster!

We packed multiple museums into one day so I was already pretty spent when I got there. But WOW!! You could spend multiple days looking at everything and here we just had a couple hours! I am not a huge fan of planes and such but this place was still amazing. And it's free!! Definitely want to take my kids... More

Our grandchildren were fascinated with the Air & Space Museum and really enjoyed the interactive displays as well as being able to see inside many former aircraft and space vehicles. I found the information about aircraft navigation to be very interesting and also tested my skills with one of the interactive tasks, successfully. The real highlight of the Air &... More
