Somehow got on the bandwagon for a "Lincoln Assassination" type tour and ended up here. Some tours are done at night, all outdoors and on foot. Not this one. Researched several tours, couldn't get into my first choice; the second didn't return my call (ever). And a third suggested an indoor tour actually at Ford's Theatre to round out the... More

I saw a Christmas Carol here last week. The show was a great way to experience the theatre. The performance itself was excellent. The theatre was very nice, smaller than I imagined but it is definitely worth seeing.

We loved everything about our visit to the Ford's Theatre! We learned so much from listening to the Park Ranger. He was so informative and his narration of the events actually made you feel like you were back in time. the museum had so much to see and was also very interesting. We also got to go to the Petersen... More

This was interesting for about 5 min. Its a theatre w/ a history, but it's flat, no opportunity for the kids to "feel" or understand what really happened. It would have been fun to do a theatrical reenactment allowing the kids to conceptualize how this event transformed america.

Loved the beautiful and well-kept Ford's Theatre. We went to museum and then attended a talk provided by a National Park Service Ranger. He was so interesting and descriptive in his narration that I felt it really was 1865 and I could hear the gaslights hissing and turned to see Lincoln enter the theatre! I wish I had got his... My family and I saw "A Christmas Carol" here. It was absolutely wonderful. A very professional, top notch production. Your ticket includes access to the information and artifacts displays downstairs, so get there early to take advantage of that. The theater is small, so there really are no bad seats. I highly recommend experiencing a production at Ford's.

We had eaten breakfast at the Lincoln Waffle House (amazing fried chicken, by the way) and saw that we were right across from Ford's Theater so we decided to take a tour. We were hoping to just get in and see the theater and leave but we wound up on a longer tour than that. It was worth the time!... More

Viewing the theatre where the esteemed Abraham Lincoln was shot by Booth, was a sobering experience. The facility has been well maintained for current and future generations. The visit was very much enjoyed, and personnel at the site quite informative.

We were fortunate enough to buy tickets to A Christmas Carol at Fords Theater. The ticket allowed us entry to the museum underneath where we learnt about Lincoln and the history and events that lead to his shooting at the theatre. The show itself, unbelievable. If you're ever in DC and have the opportunity to see A Christmas Carol at... More
