When we first visited DC in 1991, we could not tour the Library of Congress because it was undergoing restoration. It was so nice to see how beautifully it has been restored. Our tour was scheduled through our Senator's office, but public tours are available...More

My favorite thing I did on the first day. The building itself is just beautiful and the exhibits are wonderful. Definitely check out the Jefferson library in there!

This building is incredible! I highly recommend a tour, our guide was really good. It's just so beautiful inside. I loved hearing about the Jefferson Library and why/how the Library of Congress was created. All subjects are considered at equal importance. All people may use...More

Particularly wanted to see this attraction and enjoyed the exhibitions within the library as well. The exhibition of the pioneering work of Jacob Riis about the poor people of New York city and how they lived in the late 1800's was particularly good.

One of the most beautiful buildings in DC - we did the free tour and it was great, very informative. Our guide pointed out things we would never have noticed or known about. Highly recommend!
