I visited on day one of new year to checkout the zoo. There is no entry fee & the lights and collection of animals was pretty good

The zoo wasn’t initially on my list of places to visit as I had a crammed itinerary but as it was Smithsonian, lit up with Christmas lights and opened long after all museums had shut for the day, I gave it a go. The lights...More

We live in the neighborhood and can walk to the zoo and can avoid the parking fee that are the subject of many visitors' complaints. The seasonal lights are quite pretty, but don't expect to see many animals when its dark and cold.

We got Metro to Zoo. The lights are free and the indoor animals could be seen. When we ad finished at the far end of the back they had a free bus back to the top and then a free bus to the Metro. This...More

I took our three children (14, 10 and 6) to ZooLights on 12/28/17. We all had a great time! The kids were excited to go to the zoo at night. We've been here many times during the day, but there was something mystical about going...More

Poorly organized, have seen much much better displays in other places, poor customer service, not worth to pay $22. parking fee. DONT GO!! Find another place that’s really worth going to see Christmas lights, this one is NOT!!

The ZooLights were okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but it's certainly worth the no-cost admission (assuming you didn't pay $22 to park) if you're looking to spend an hour or so outside and in-the-season.

Horrible - terrible - no good very bad lights at a poorly organized zoo. $22 to park and then free to enter w/ way too many people who were equally confused by the disorganized staff and poor lighting and no signage. Stay home!

The Zoo is a great place to walk off the Thanksgiving meal. We opted to go after lunch so that we could stay for the start of Zoolights (at 5:00 PM). Parking was scarce by that time but we found a spot on the North...More
