About
Visitors will find the spectacular, sparsely populated, and undeveloped shoreline for nearly the entire length of the sanctuary, making it one of the most dramatic natural wonders in the United States. Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary shares 135 miles of coastline with Washington Coastal Treaty Tribes, Olympic National Park, and Washington State Parks. Hiking, camping and tide pooling are popular along the coast, and scenic overlooks provide sweeping views of the sanctuary. Here, you’ll see marine wildlife such as orcas, bald eagles, oystercatchers, and sea lions, while a perfectly timed visit can bring gray whales and tufted puffins into view. "Whale Trail" signs mark some of the best wildlife viewing spots from the shore. If you like adventure, join the growing number of surfers who have discovered the challenges and rewards of Olympic Coast breaks. The sanctuary is also popular among expert divers, and anglers can target a variety of species in the sanctuary.

Be sure to visit Beach 4 at low tide for the great sea life present
Jul 2014 • Friends
Beach 4 is by far my favorite for low tide exploring for sea life. There is such variety and the beach is shallow so you have lots of time to check out the many pools.
