We were driving from Spoken to Vancouver and decided to take the Highway 2 instead of I90 , it turned out to be a excellent choice , first of all we where able to bypass the city rush of Seattle and the best part was Highway 2 turned to a very scenic drive , it start with farm land and in the month of June the wheat was read to harvest, there was miles of golden wheat all around. Then the land changed to rock mountains with colorful rocks. Further on there were miles of fruit orchids, cherries and peaches . Many fresh fruit stalls on the way . The last leg was driving in the Mount Baker National Park , green mountains with river flowing alongside , many places where you could stop and get you feet wet in the cold mountain water. We planned our journey from Whitefish in Montana to Spokane in Washington so that we would follow highway 2 through Libby and Troy but most especially along the Wild horse trail scenic bye way ( which is highway 2). A stunning drive with fantastic scenery and stopping points along the way. Many lakes and rivers to admire as well as forest. A wonder journey that if you have the chance you must do…
