Thompson Hollow trail: Beautiful hike and lovely pools BUT: CAREFUL! PARKING is tricky! There are only about 4 parking places, all other cars need to park on the side/shoulder of the road. If you have to do that: MAKE SURE YOUR WHEELS are in the grass and DO NOT TOUCH THE ASPHALT!!! we came back after a long hike and our CAR WAS GONE! apparently every weekend 20-30 cars are being towed out! Recuperating it is no joke: either get a lift (there was no-one when we there, NO CAR left, all towed away or people ahd left by 18:30 ) hike to Bentonville (+/-3 miles) and then get a lift to the 13 miles away Front Royal to pay 262 USD to get your car back form the Tow operator. We felt ripped off and mistreated by that practice.Shame on you! you exploit hikers, people who just want to enjoy nature. How can you allow that? A sham. AGAIN: Shame on you, to exploit people who want to enjoy nature.…
