love the scenery and well kept roads. Follow RTE 100, Nothing too high or road too steep so its easy to navigate. Don't miss Hogback Mountain or their giftshop(and I don't normally endorse Gift Shops)

What to say about nature's beauty here.We visited here in October. Its not peak fall, still it was so beautiful. Lake view and rapids really make that place very serene.

Great hike if you enjoy waterfalls. Was a bit disappointed that we couldn't go to the cliffs which are closed closed during peregrine falcon nesting season from March 15 through August 1. If I had $15K, I would have risked it...

With AT / LT running through, lots of fun for hikers. Being a long weekend the campgrounds were busy but we were just sight seeing anyways. Grout pond is big enough for swimming / paddling. Fun!

If you find that you have a beautiful summer day but a bit windy for kayaking, try Grout Pond. Grout Pond is small but not too small. It appears to be protected from the winds where the bigger lakes would not be safe for small kayaks on windy days. The water was clean and great for a swim.

This was our first visit to the Green Mountains with my family. We camped at the Emerald Lake State Park and had a wonderful time. The campground is clean, well organized, quiet and family friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Around the area, there is an amazing swimming hole in an old quarry, definitely worth visiting. Also there... More
