We were only passing through but made a quick stop here to see the falls. We didn’t hike to the bottom due to time constraints, but we had a very nice view of the falls at the lookout point.

We stopped here while driving through TN. It was well worth our time. Only 25 minutes off I-40. The view from the top viewpoint was beautiful but I highly recommend hiking the 4th of a mile trail down to the lower falls if you have good balance and can climb on rocks. The path is a little rough but not near as bad as it looks. Most of the path down are steps made from rocks and a few 4x4 steps. For me it was like walking down steps. It was a little harder for my wife but she was wearing sandals. I highly recommend some good hiking shoes with good traction if your planning on hiking down to the lower falls. The view from the bottom is well worth the effort going down. The hike back up is much easier than going down. My wife & I had no problem coming back up. The rocks at the bottom to the left of the falls can be really slippery. I went over there to try to get a pic of the small side fall that is covered by trees from the center viewpoint.
Plenty of parking for cars and large vehicles with trailers. Our rig is 45 feet long and we had no problem parking or driving to the lot.
I uploaded pics of the trail going down, the parking lot and the bridge at the bottom since I didn’t see many in reviews.

Best part of our trip! Amazing waterfall experience.
A steep climb down on rocks/path but well worth it to be able to swim in a waterfall. It was raining so it was not crowded (1 other family). Amazing experience!

Absolutely beautiful park and waterfall! There are bathrooms up in the parking lot. The way to get to the falls from the parking lot is not clearly marked, FYI. The short hike down to the falls is steep and rocky, as many have said, but definitely do-able. The area around the falls offers lots of different rocks to sit on and sunbathe. The water is VERY cold, be warned!! But the water is also quite clear and clean. I had a great few hours here and would absolutely return.

Foster falls is part of a state park with other hiking trails. The waterfall seems to be the highlight of the area. Very easy to find (we are visiting the area from Florida). There are 2 choices to see the falls, one from a lookout above it or you can hike down to see it from the bottom. As others have said the hike down is steep and rocky. The trail itself is mostly made out of rocks/boulders and 4x4 wood pieces shaped into “stairs”. It looks more intimidating then it is once you get going and very much worth it to go all the way. It is only 0.4 miles from what we read. I would recommend good hiking shoes and not sandals or flat bottom sneakers. Our kids ages 6, 8, and 9 made it down just fine. There is a bridge just before you get to the falls which was really pretty. Kids had a blast playing on all the rocks near the water and on the fallen logs.

We took the short boardwalk to view the falls. Its a quick, little walk with an excellent view of the falls. You could also hike to the bottom as well.

Great accessibility to falls overlook. So often the handicapped are left out at our parks, not here.

Absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to swim! Extremely steep down to the falls and back out but doable for anyone able to climb several flights of stairs at a time (without railing).

I highly recommend this place! It is beautiful and a wonderful nice swimming hole. The hike is short but you must be able to hike and take the incline down and back up.
