I visited to get in a run and found it was a gem. It was a large farm owned and operated by the Adams family for over a hundred years. Beautiful spot to visit. See the homestead, bike, walk, enjoy.

Adams Homestead has an interesting visitor center and monthly activities. The homestead is set back away from the road and is easily accessible by path. The schoolhouse, church, and other parts of the homestead are well preserved. Well worth the stop, very pretty area.

My family visits the nature preserve frequently. Good walking trails. The employees are very helpful. We take our niece and nephew to feed the donkey and the goats.

The Adams Nature Preserve is a wonderful natural area along the Missouri River. There are 15 miles or so of well kept rails for biking and hiking that wander through wetlands, grasslands, a cottonwood forest and along the Missouri river. The best part is that...More
