This is a reservoir, rather than a natural lake. Yet, it seems to fit well into its environment. It offers beautiful views, little coves and inlets that would offer many hours of exploration. Another part of the Black Hills that I want to see with...More

This lake is beautiful. Clear and blue. The water is a bit cool, but refreshing on a hot day. They allow recreational boats on this lake. The beach is a bit rocky, so bring sandals or shoes. Day pass cost I believe was <$10 per...More

It's beautiful. Nearby trails offer some great hikes and scenic views. Trails include rockslides and some cool manmade tunnels you hike through.

We stopped off on the way from Keystone to Deadwood and managed to get some really good unset pictures over the lake. There are a few places that you can pull off and just enjoy the view. It's worth it.
