Great park for families, friends, pets, & solo activities & exercise. I appreciate their great effort to include activities for people with disAbilities & other inclusive activities for the same, such as Adaptive Archery, Paddling (Kayaking), Surfing, Fishing, Wall Climbing, & an annual Adaptive Expo that includes the above, as well as Yoga, Air Guns, HandCycling, & more. The staff... More

Went to visit my sister and her family down at the campground and the water park. The campground was nice and quite and the water park was well organized

If you visit Charleston during Christmas time, you must visit the James Island County Park for their dazzling lights. We were transported into fairyland, candyland, toyland, etc with lights displaying many of the famous nursery rhymes. There is a carnival area where you can ride the victorian carousel, eat some yummy snacks and stroll around. You can drive in your... More

We had a little time before our families had to go our separate ways and decided to go to this park for a visit and some fresh air. We had two kids and my mom in a wheelchair. There was a splash pad and a great play ground. We thought we would be there for about an hour but it... More

We happened upon this park on accident as we were staying in the area. This was such a pleasant surprise. It costs $2 to enter the gates but well worth much more! There is a dog beach inside the park where dogs are allowed off their leashes inside the doggy park to play and enjoy the water and beach areas,... More

Was extremely impressed with this park! We used the RV campgrounds and they were clean, felt very safe, and had all sorts of offerings! Will absolutely be back! Runners...there are trails all throughout the park that are paved with asphalt and also there are some packed gravel packed trails.

This campground is incredible! The grounds are well-kept. It's a very peaceful place. There's lots to do for all ages. I will definitely be back in the future!

James Island County Park is awesome. It is a great park with lots to do - playgrounds, dog park, bike paths, a pond for any kind of water sport you want to try and during the holidays they have the best light show around. Highly recommend for a day in the sun to just enjoy.

Drove here from Columbia just to visit the dog park. By far the best dog park we have visited! Admission fee is very reasonable (I think it was $2 per person). The park has a large pond that the dogs love to swim in. Fear not if you have small dogs! The park also has a fenced in area for... More

We have went here yearly for the Festival of Lights since 2009. Its always a great time. Beautiful park, well laid out with plenty of parking & the area to walk around is awesome. Love the food vendors, nature path, train ride - all of it. Sometimes it takes awhile to get in (weekends are rough in December) but its... More
