Since 1993, Hilton Head Bicycle Company has been providing residents and visitors with bicycle rentals, service and sales. All bike rentals include baskets and locks and delivery is free throughout Hilton Head Island. We now over Ebikes for sales, rental and service! Call and ask about our 2 hour Guided Ebike Tours! I rented an electric bicycle here for the last week of July as I was curious (having not been on one before). It was so much fun and I learned so much over the week.
First let's talk about the service. This company is outstanding! Great communication, the bicycle was there when we arrived at our condo, all instructions were sent in the email, it was an unbelievably smooth experience.
The e-bike, this is made for rentals. It is built like a tank so yes it is heavy. It was so simple to use. I didn't track the range but the battery lasted two days before charges. I would take a sunrise ride on the beach each morning for 15 miles and never went over 3 in pedal assist so med may be different with your settings. I was so impressed that I want one myself.
So the service was outstanding, the e-bike was great with no issues, therefore I highly recommend Hilton Head Electric Bicycle Company for your future rentals!

On our first visit to Hilton Head Island in 2019 we rented bikes here. The staff was very friendly and offered several route options for us for our afternoon on the island.
This time we brought our own bikes, stayed a week and explored virtually all of the islands 70+ miles of paved, off-road trails. Trails in Sea Pines were exceptionally well maintained and the trails on the remainder of the island were in really good shape.
On our second to last day on island my wife’s tire blew while out on a ride. We took the bike to Hilton Head Bicycles first thing in the morning when hey opened, told them it was our last day on the island and we were hoping to get one more ride in, and they got right on her bike and replaced both tires and tubes in under 90 minutes at a very reasonable price.
Highly recommend this business for friendly, knowledgeable staff and outstanding service at reasonable prices.

The bikes were great and the price was even better. The price was the best on the island and they delivered for $1 fee. We didn't know, but we should have secured the reservation a couple of days before we arrived, as it took a day after we called to get the bikes.

Yes, it is important to note that bikes are delivered on the first day of the reservation and picked up on the last day. Sometimes it is hard to fulfill same-day orders if it is busy. I recommend booking in advance, and booking for the day before your arrival if you would like the bikes early on the first day of your trip.

Free bike delivery on the sea pines resort. Cheap tandem bike rental(pretty much the only place renting adults tandem bikes) for 3 days. So perfect! We had so much fun

We ordered our bikes before we left for vacation. It was easy and very convenient to have them delivered and picked up without any hassle. There was one small issue...they were dropped off at the wrong unit and we weren't able to locate them. After unsuccessfully looking around ourselves, they sent a couple of guys to help. The bikes were found at a different building and the management was extremely gracious by giving us a slight refund. The bikes were great and I'd recommend the company based on their quality and customer service!

Very good service. The two bikes we ordered were at our place of residence when we arrived, clean and in great condition. Company responded quickly - within minutes - when I contacted them and asked for a second bike lock (make sure you ask for separate locks, otherwise I think they normally provide one lock per two bicycles). Air pressure in the tires was a little low, so the rep replaced the two bikes with others that were fully pumped up. Will definitely use their services again on future trips.

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear that you got two bikes with low air pressure in the tires. We do our best to quickly swap any bikes that need maintenance.
Also, it's true that we normally do one bike lock per two bikes, but upon request we can provide additional locks. I hope we will see you again soon--have a great day.

The customer service was excellent, but really, their knowledge of bikes won me over. Let's be honest, many of us are not riding bikes on the daily, so having bike experts help answer questions and get the best fit was important. Their online reservation system was seamless and delivery was quick. The bikes were in good shape and I saw them testing several bikes before loading them up for delivery, wiping down/oiling the chain, etc, which made me feel that these would be safe for my family. 110% recommend and I have found my new go-to bike rental for future trips!

We rented 4 bikes for a week from Hilton Head Bicycle company. They were delivered on time and all 4 bikes came with baskets and rode extremely smooth. On the third day, one bike’s seat started twisting and we couldn’t figure out how to fix it. I called the company and a new bike was switched out for the broken one, in a very timely manner. We appreciated their quick response.

We’ve always used a different bike rental company, but when I called this time, the lady was not friendly and said they were under new ownership. Called Hilton Head Bicycle Company... excellent customer service (which businesses need to understand is SO important), quick delivery and bikes were in great shape. And they were even a little cheaper. Thank you for providing us with hours of exercise and much needed beauty and relaxation!! 😊

My wife and I just moved to Hilton Head Island and always rented bikes when we were visiting. We love biking the trails on the island so we wanted to buy two bikes and we came across Hilton Head Bicycle Company and saw all the rave reviews. Well we went into the shop to see what they had and the owner Jim was very helpful but unfortunately didn't have any bikes at the moment due to a shortage caused by the pandemic but was expecting a delivery soon. He took down our name and number to put us on a wait list and said that he would call us when the shipment came in and also told us to follow them on Facebook. Well a few days later we saw notice that a shipment came in and called them right away. They remembered us and said to come on down because they were going fast. We went right over and they were very helpful in recommending and fitting bikes to our needs, built them right away and delivered them that very afternoon. Bikes are great. We highly recommend this shop for all your bicycle needs!
