We really enjoyed our stay at east harbor state park. We have a 35ft travel trailer and stayed in site B131 (full hookup). Our first impression of that site was, wow that doesn't look deep enough for our trailer. It was. we found out later that 2 of the 4 parking spaces adjacent to the site belong to that site.... More

Lovely clean sandy beach. Beautiful setting. Plenty of picnic tables along border of beach, good showers and changing room. The water stays at a 2 foot depth seemingly forever - great for wading, not swimming. And free. Reminds one of how important good state parks are. (Total contrast to beach at our cottage a few miles away - icky mud... More

The park is very nice. However fishing in designated area is near impossible. Lily pads !!! The park lacks are weather warning/lightening detection system.

Nice park....beautiful really. I wish the sand would have been cleaner...but the water...only knee deep for quite a long way makes this a great place for kids and waders like me.

We stopped here for a picnic lunch and swimming on a recent trip to Port Clinton. There was another park in the area I considered but I'm glad this one won out. The park was beautiful with tree lined roads. There was plenty of room to picnic without being too close together although it was packed when we were there.... More

East Harbor is a lovely park with clean amenities. That said, the sites are way too close together. We tent camped in A loop and the sites are so close together that we ended up pitching our tent about 7 feet from our neighbors and about 10 from another. The snoring from one tent was so loud, I couldn't sleep.... More

East Harbor State park is off the main drag to the ferry. lighthouse, and shopping but the people who whiz on past the turn for hwy 269 north don't know what they are missing. East Harbor has the largest campground in the Ohio state park system, beach, three harbors, ten miles of trails, yurts, a restaurant, and a marina. It even... More

Large state park with lots of space. Paved road adjacent to car entrance for walking or biking. Even on a Monday afternoon the beach was fairly crowded, but we were easily able to found a quiet spot on the lake further down to sit and relax.

Fantastic state park for camping and summer fun. We camped in a 25 ft travel trailer 2 nights. We had full hookups for $31/nt plus discount. The park is large with a lot of sites but our spot was at the end and just heaven. We had a table and firepit and large pretty level concrete pad. Checkin easy at... More
