I absolutely love Long Island! There is just so much to do and see there. Any time of the year is wonderful for a visit. Our last visit was during the fall and it was just stunning visually with all those autumn colors. I just love the North Shore, my wife tends to favor the South Shore. We enjoy visiting... More

So much to see you can spend weeks taking in all there is to do on long island. The Island is vastly different from the west end to the east end and from the north fork to the south. You'll love it

this place isn't great, I had something to eat there and i got sick. I don't know if it was just the place I ate at, but I'm blaming all of Long Island for accompanying it.

I have lived a number of places and traveled to 15 countries and 38 states. I am very well educated with 2 degrees and 2 patents, so this review is reputable. It is the most difficult place I have ever lived. It is the most expensive i have ever lived. It is the most Police ruled place i have ever... More

I was born here and the last time back was 2013. We visited Blue Point mostly with stops in Patchogue, Bayport, Sayville, Islip and Ronkonkoma last week. The people that we interacted with were all very nice. Unfortunately it was very cold with quite a bit of snow on the ground and it actually snowed on last Saturday and a... More

Most notable attractions are about 30+ miles from each other, meaning you'll be spending much of your vacation stuck in traffic. Some good historic attractions, such as Old Bethpage and Westbury Gardens. But, other than Coney Island (which is technically NYC) or Atlantis Marine world, there's nothing here for kids. Crime rates and drug use has also steadily increased over... More

Stay away this is the most terrible place I have ever been. I have been all over the world and long island is the absolute worst. The people are fake, cheap, arrogant, and racist. They are so bipolar in their behavior the island has become like some kind of mental asylum. The place is expensive for no good reason, it... More

I live hear so the review is one sided but if you want to visit a place that has it all and is close enough to the city to do even more. Beatiful beaches nice hotels and everything else all in one place.

Long island is very quiet and clean with not too many tourists. It would be a great place if you are tired of the noisy new york. It’s just like the long island in Japan after World War II. With that bomb, everything restarts. The first stop is definitely Lavender by the bay (7540 New York 25, East Marion, NY... More

My husband and I hired a car for 2 days to explore the island. However it proved to be larger than we anticipated and we only managed to veiw a small part of it. But is was great fun exploring and a nice respite from the city.
