Highly recommend this National Monument - even if you must go out of you way, it is definitely worth the trip! Bring a saucer for sledding and flip flops. Pack a lunch and spend an afternoon enjoying the landscape.

We drove here between El Paso and headed to Albuquerque. It was a nice break in the drive and really neat to see. It was a little windy (34 mph) and even more on top of dunes but we really enjoyed it!
