A great road (Route 50, the loneliest road in America) to cross Nevada.
May 2019 • Couples
Starting in Baker, Nevada in the east with access to The Great Basin National Park and Lehman Caves, the road passes through Ely, Eureka, Austin, Fallon, Payton to Carson City.
Nevada is a state of mountain chains running north south with valleys between. The road consequently rises up to 7,700ft and falls to 4,000 ft in the valleys as you make your way west.
Well worth trip to stop in the small towns along the way.
Don’t forget to collect your Route50 Survival Passport and to get it stamped at the towns along the way.

Loneliest road in America!

We took a multi-hour drive across Nevada. There's a very large area with no cell service. Nobody lives here. Just make sure you don't break down or run out of gas.
