Having never been to Lake of the Ozarks, I was thoroughly impressed with the area - the quality of the accommodations, the food, the local attractions and so much more. I stayed in three different places - Alhonna Resort, Old Kinderhook and Rainbow Shore Resort. All three were top notch in their own special ways. I will write reviews for... More

We had a blast! There's a ton of stuff to do! We rented a boat for the weekend and the whole family enjoyed it! I recommend renting one of the houses on the water we rented one in a cove and it was nice and quite the water was calm the kids could fish and swim without worrying about all... More

There is something for everyone here. It's January and so nice we are touring the dam. Summer is the best time to visit. There are still lots of mom and pop motels around and the big resorts too. It's easy to rent a boat or jet ski .

Beautiful water and great food by the lake! Of course don't drink and swim and you will be fine ! Boat rides are fun! The boardwalk is a bit deserted but there is also a brand new movie theater a few miles away !

2014 and again in 2015, 8 out of 8 people in our group became ill during our summer trips to the Lake of the Ozarks. The DNR tests for EColi around the beaches, but does not report it until the season is about over. I wonder why? Very disturbing! By the way, we were 7 miles away from any public... More

Lake of the Ozarks is great for fantastic scenary and relaxing venues. We travelled off peak, but it was still a good time and we pretty much had the lake to ourselves! Don't be fooled by the colder temps in October, the lake is still 70-75 degrees (same as the Caribbean in the winter.) We did have some issues with... More
