This is a huge lake that has many fingers in it and it meanders quite a distance in the area. There is a state park, dam, fish hatchery, marinas, and trails so something for everyone. In October we saw several young girls take the plunge into the water and they really squealed about how cold the water was.

Beautiful , large lake that has a lot of boats running around - but still is nice. Hiking around, walking near, swimming and more here! Bring the family, picnic and just relax. A great place to watch sunset is the boat ramp near Moonshine Beach!

The trailhead starts at the Marina (or the visitor center near the dam which is closed indefinitely during the pandemic.)
We went on Thursday October 1 and there were very few people on the trail.
The trail is paved the entire 2.2 miles and has numerous picnic areas along the way. Also there are restrooms at both ends and in the middle.
The dam is an interesting site.

Mostly a retiree community, not well equipped for visitors at least before Memorial Day weekend. Lampe, MO is especially boring. No restaurants, bars, or open public docks. View is blocked by a bunch of private docks. We stayed at Bella Vita, a small place that was connected to an adjoining place with a deck that literally overlooked ours, and the owners arrived unannounced at that property and were literally overlooking us during our stay! Unprofessional behavior that wouldn’t be tolerated in a metropolitan area at all. Highly recommend staying in West Branson or Branson instead!

We stayed at Big Cedar Lodge and rented a jet ski on the lake. We had a fantastic time the lake is very pretty and people are very friendly. We rode around to the Branson Showboat Belle and then back to Big Cedar Lodge.

Came here for a walk with a group ranging from 1 year to 60 years. We parked one car at the State Park Marina and left another at the Dam and enjoyed the walk. It was a bit longer than I thought, and I'm glad we opted for just a one-way walk instead of the out and back. There was a lot to see along the walk including birds, lizards, and water views and the trail was nice and paved the whole way. We then enjoyed a picnic lunch at a nice covered table back near the administration building.

Most beautiful lake in Missouri and Illinois we have visited so far. Rocky beach, shade from trees near the lake, picnic tables, clean water and not too many boats or large crowds ( we visited in August). Also, no homes near the lake, it's all nature and beautiful rolling green hills. Love it, would love to live there 💚

We love Table Rock Lake. We have stayed at different resorts here and tried different restaurants. The convenience stores are run by great people as well. It was great to finally make a visit during the summer.

A Great Lake to rent a boat for a day while visiting Branson. It’s a deep, wide lake with beautiful views. Reasonable. It’s close to Branson so if you like the water this gem is a must see.

I had never been parasailing before, so I decided on my Branson trip I would do something "daring." Little did I know, the adventure level of parasailing is pretty minimal, unless it's windy I suppose. The view was fantastic. The employees were very friendly and answered any questions we had. It was a great time. I definately recommend paying for a rider to come along and snap as many pictures as possible. They'll do it for you, but the disk is $10 and we only got 4 pictures.

I want to know first where I can find out about boating laws. We want to bring our boat from Texas and we are wondering if we need to make changes to it. 2nd we will be looking for a place on the water with a boat slip.

I’m trying to secure lodging at Table Rock Lake for a week. The lake looks huge and I’m overwelmed with where to stay. We will have a boat, so we need a boat slip and there’s just 2 of us. I want to be on the water. I also have questions about the eastern section verses the western section of the lake. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Lots of resorts there and if you have stayed at any, I would love your feedback! Thanks

We just took our first trip to TRL. We were only there a short time so I don't have much info. We don't have a boat, so it was only swimming, not far from the dam. The lake is huge and is amazing. I don't really know which end of the lake is better, but I know there are tons of signs. I am sure the travel center in Branson has information, as well as just about every business, marina, etc. around the Lake. I hope it works out for you! (Sorry I wasn't any help!)

We are looking for a place to stay on Table Rock Lake for a boating vacation. We would like recommendations of places that have slips on site for our boats. We are a good sized group typically 14 of us in all with 4 boats. We would prefer to be near Branson so we have plenty to do in the event we have bad weather while we are there and can not be on the water every day.

Hello! Glad you are coming to visit! You might want to check out the Indian Point area. It has several resorts that all have boat slips available for guests, and it is the closest area on Table Rock to Branson. If you go to the website, you will find lots of great lodging options. A popular one on Indian Point is Stillwaters Resort, or check out Table Rock Resorts, Watermill Cove or Alpine Lodge or White Wing Resort - all great choices as well.

Can you recommend a boat rental company where we could rent a small pontoon boat for half a day? And will reservation land need to be made in advance?
VisitTableRockLake
Kimberling City, MO1 contribution
There are several places on Table Rock where you can rent a pontoon; the most convenient for you may depend on where you are staying. Check out Table Rock Pontoons at What's Up Dock ( at Port of Kimberling), State Park Marina or Campbell Point Marina. It is probably best to have advance reservations. Enjoy!
