Don't miss the MN Military Museum at Camp Ripley. First it is an amazing museum that spans Civil War/Dakota Conflict to present. All branches of Military are represented in uniforms, equipment and easy to understand plaques if you are not familiar with the conflict or that particular military branch. Take the time to stop at Camp Ripley and visit the Minnesota Military Museum. The collection of military uniforms from the Civil War to the Persian Gulf are very interesting. I searched the web for a place in Minnesota with tanks for my nephews to see and found the Minnesota Military Museum - WHAT A GREAT FIND! They have around 8 tanks (three have steps for you get onto so you can climb on them!), 8 helicopters, a bunch of military trucks (and an amphibious duck too), a great display... More
