I had the awesome ability to stay at a cabin on the Mississippi in norther Minnesota, so it was peaceful and calm. It's amazing how in the south the Mighty Mississippi is mighty and powerful, while where I was it was calm and soothing. It was nice to see sever deer families drink from the river and cross the river... More

If you have a 3 day trip to the Twin Cities, book a fishing trip with the "Gryz.". Featured in The Star Tribune and Pioneer Press as well as Minnesota Outdoors, this is an incredible experience. The stretch between Coon Rapids dam and Grey Cloud Island in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area is truly magnificent. You will see urban landscapes, wildlife and back water country as you paddle down it. You can also go thorugh the three lock and dam system..a real thrill in a kayak.
