Only visited one other time and didn't love so decided to give another try. Though the conditions may have been better and we tried to explore the hill more, still didn't love it. We liked the more open runs but the trees are definitely for skiers. Only one of the two chairs were running. It wasn't until we explored that we found out how you get transported back to the front, by bus. The "resort" is nicer than I remember.

We dropped in here for a wood fired pizza because there didn't seem to be a lot available in the Lac La Belled immediate are the night we were there and were glad that we did. The atmosphere was very relaxing after a long day's drive. The pizza was good and the woman working the pizza shack was very friendly even though she was very busy. Great to relax on the deck adjacent to the sauna and pool and just what we needed.

To start this review I would like everyone to know that we snowboard. We LOVE being in the trees and backcountry. We have visited many resorts (MT, CO, MI, OR & MN).

Mount Bohemia claims that it's not for beginners. I found that to be true. I definitely wouldn't bring someone unfamiliar with tree runs. At the same time I felt their runs to be a notch down from most ski resorts. A double black diamond at MB is equal to a black diamond elsewhere.

In my opinion this place is great for skiers. Snowboarding was a real challenge. But not in the good way. We were constantly having to push, un strap and walk. Every single run had a flat or uphill section that made it impossible to go from ski lift to lift without pushing or walking. It was incredibly frustrating.

The had little to no signs. We were constantly getting lost or confused on our whereabouts. We've been to many mountains without issue, but here it was a pure guessing game. I even felt we were missing out on some areas because we simply couldn't find them!

There is only one small yurt with food. So you're very limited with choices. We had a burger and brat and they were pretty good. Normal ski food.

We spent two days here. I would have been fine leaving after day one. Day two we ditched early due to boredom. My legs were more sore from pushing my board then anything else.

We stayed about a 1/2 mile away at wilderness resort and saved money. I would recommend that if you want more privacy and make your own food.

I would not visit here again, but am not overly disappointed either.

I called to review the conditions of my season pass i purchased because i tore my meniscus and i was belittled on the phone by Ronnie. He was degrading me and it was not appreciated. I will never be purchasing a pass there again thanks to the under-educated disrespectful staff.

We were to head down for a weekend and i fell ill. The doc said i MUST NOT GO under any circumstance. My partner did go. I called after to ask if there could be any leniency on the reservation. Honestly the manager (Lonnie) went NUTS! All i did was ask. In all my time i have never seen anyone deal with the public in such an explosively angry and disrespectful way. Truly there was no need to verbally batter me.

I gave this place 1 out of 5 for the friendly....yet incompetent staff. It seemed they put forth effort but we're never given the tools to succeed. We stayed for only a few days. Had planned on staying longer but.... accommodations were inadequate, service clumsy, food awful and the owner/management uninformed and lacking hospitality knowledge. We expected it to be cleaner, have decent beds, coordinated meals and service, and...well, professionals. Obviously too much to ask. Really a shame. This could be a gem.

Stayed this past week at the Aqua Cabins (no idea why they call them this as they are not underwater) but, just did not care for this place. While the construction on the log cabins is top notch the layout inside is very odd. Everything is in on one room including all the bunk beds. This means if you have mixed couples or groups it can be a bit awkward as basically you all sleep, dress, eat, etc. in the same room and there is no privacy at all. The beds are bunk beds and so not very comfortable and the bed is not even made for you when you arrive. They just lay all the sheets and very thin blankets on the bed and you have to make your bed while on vacation. It got down to 20 degrees this past week in Oct and the blankets are just not appropriate for this weather. Also nothing stays right on each nights sleep as the sheets all slip off the mattresses and are too small to even tuck in and try to keep secure. The sink in not in the bathroom which is also odd to me. There is a mini fridge but nothing else to cook anything or prepare any sort of food. The wireless is absolutely horrible. When connected it almost never works and times out and basically is useless. I could not even check the weather or email in the cabin and so forget Netflix or any streaming if you want some later night entertainment. Yeah there is no TV in any of the cabins other then the community house everyone must share a small, what looks like a 10 year old, 25" LCD. Speaking of the community house this is where you can get breakfast which is just some bagels, bread, yogurt, frozen oranges and frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches for the microwave. No waffle maker or eggs even. After day one we never bothered to go back. Not to mention there was a large Asian group staying in rooms in the community house and when we walked in one morning they looked at us in stunned silence like we invaded their cabin. I don't think the owners explained to them this is a shared area. Our party didn't care for this whole setup, just very uncomfortable. The dinners were in one of the Yurts but we never bothered to try these even though we paid for them because we always got off Copper Harbor from fishing too late. We would have preferred to not take any meals here but there was no option for this. I don't get other reviews that say there is a great lake view as there is not. Looking out the back window is thick woods and the lake is far off and barely seen. Also there is broken down trees and logs all over the back area that looks like a mess and should be cleaned up. The area is very beautiful and the fishing was overall poor but this is not Mt. Bohemia's fault. So other then the cool looking large logs that make up the cabins and nice wood look inside I just cant justify the high cost to rent these cabins for the reasons above. So would not return to the Aqua Cabins. It's too bad because I had much higher expectations for this stay.

Some buddies and I go here frequently for the crazy amount of snow they get. We watch the weather and when it dumps (which it does a lot) we jump in the truck and drive the 7 hours to ride some of the best snow there is. We stay in the 4person cabins and while they aren't much it's a warm place to sleep and we can walk down for meals and to get to the new hot tub or the North Pole bar found in one of the yurts. While staying in a cabin gets you dinner and breakfast, we like to bring a grill for a dinner and lunch. Every one we've met has been super cool and is there for the same thing, awesome terrain and amazing snow

My boyfriend and I decided to go here as a weekend getaway, we stayed in the Aqua Log cabins. We went for the all inclusive price to take part in the activities and relieve the worry of where we would eat. Overall, Mount Bohemia was a nice place, the staff was nice and did everything they could to accommodate their guests. However, there are definitely a few negatives to Mount Bohemia.
1. The price you pay (in our opinion) was not worth the stay. Paying over 200 dollars a night to stay in a cabin without basic amenities like linens or a microwave was ridiculous.
2. The activities offered in your all inclusive package were not clearly outlined on how to take advantage of, we expected some sort of guide book in our cabin on where to go or what to do but instead were left lost.
3. The cabins aren't actually on the water, they are behind a stinky marsh that you need to walk through in order to get to the lake, which also doesn't have immediate swimming access.

Overall, we had a decent stay and a fun mini vacation, however, if the prices aren't adjusted for the summer we will not be returning as it was not worth it.

I always make 2-3 trips to Bohemia every winter. It's a destination ski resort, without a doubt. Always great snow (even pow pow!) and challenging terrain, plus it's never busy or crowded here.

The staff at the hill are very friendly and will probably remember you if you show up more than once. The price is right for a lift ticket, too. Some people are put off by one or two chairs, but there's so much terrain that is accessed by these chairs, you'll soon realize that it's worth every cent. Plus, the Backcountry Bus will pick you up if you stray too far away from the chairs. This adds a whole new level (and unique experience) to your skiing adventure.

Every trip to Bohemia has been a wonderful experience for me. The skiing alone is phenomenal (yes, you can get knee-deep in the U.P.), but it's also the area. It's remote and isolated (no cell service!), which really adds to the vibe of a semi-community with the others thare are there with you. The surrounding area is quiet as well, but there's still plenty of things to do (check out all my reviews for the Calumet & Copper Harbor area).

Free tip #1: Buy a season pass if you plan on riding three or more days at Bohemia...you can save some serious coin over buying three day's worth of lift tickets. The season pass sale is only ONE DAY A YEAR, and you can buy online at Bohemia's website. The pass goes on sale the first Saturday of December.

Free tip #2: There's no cell service at Bohemia, but there is free wifi in the main yurts.

Free tip #3: The cabins at Bohemia are nothing but bunkhouses (literally) with a toilet. But for ski-in/ski-out access to the hill for $99 a night, it's WELL WORTH IT. There are also 12-person yurts for larger groups for $129/night.

Free tip #4: There's now a bar, the sadly ironic-named "North Pole Bar" in the yurts. Keeweenaw on tap!
