We stayed in St. Ignace which is about a 30 minute drive away from Gustafson's but had heard great things about their fresh jerky. The drive there is gorgeous, it hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline and you can do what we did, which was make several stops along the way to get out and walk along the beach and take... More

Every chance we get to this area we stop for Smoke Fish. This is the only place we will stop for Smoked Fish. Flavor is second to none. The prices are very reasonable and the selection is great. If you like smoked fish - stop here!

just made a pit stop on the way home from Houghton. I can't pass on smoked fish, bought a whole white fish, should have bought a dozen and some chedder cheese and salmon. cheese and salmon were very good. However, the whitefish was the best I've ever had. Only fault is they are so far away, but worth the trip

Stopped for gas on the way down from Saint Ignace. There didn't seem to be tons of places for gas, so we figured we better stop when we had the chance. They have all the usual stuff that a little gas station would have, chips, drinks etc, but then they also have smoked meats and fish. Don't recall all that... More

No jerky like theirs. Great beef sticks without fillers. Cheese curds. Smoked fish awesome. We NEVER drive by. They will also ship.

Great tasting, reasonably priced, fresh, a must stop if you like smoked fish, cheese curds, jerky or pickled turkey gizzards!! Plus of course everything you could possibly want to drink. We always stop on our way through which is several times a year.

Great little convenience store that smokes its own fish and offers a great variety of other delicacies along with your everyday essentials and souvenirs. Dog run available. Fuel pumps on site as well. Favorite stopping point for us for over 25 years now. Friendly folks!

This is a great little spot to pick up some U.P. delicacies and it is less than a 1/2 hour's drive west of the bridge. The smoking process uses sugar maple wood so you get a sweet smoky flavor. Also, the fish and jerky is completely fresh with no preservatives. The fish is great and the jerky will be the... More
