Lake Michigan and all the Great Lakes for that matter are the number one thing to do in Michigan! They are beautiful, clean, fun, relaxing. It looks like the ocean, but without sharks! What could be better :D

One of the best beaches though it is not a sea shore. Clean and soft sand to walk. We cannot see the other side of the land...

We went there with our boat, and it was just perfect ! There was plenty of people but everyone was making room for each other. The sand dunes are quite high !! but you really have to go on top. You could just sit and relax.

My sister, her family (husband and three teenagers), my Mom, and me pile into a rented mini van for an adventure up the coast of Lake Michigan. We head out day 1 from Ann Arbor. First stop: Kalamazoo, Michigan- this has special significance for us as our ancestor Titus Bronson founded Kalamazoo in 1829 and here we were 185 years... More

The best beaches in the world on the most user friendly of the GreatLakes. Great hiking swimming. Fish for salmon trout perch whitefish. Where else can you do that?

This lake is never boring, from the incredible sunsets over the lake from the best side, the Michigan side, to the little harbor towns dotting the coastline, to the natural treasures of the national state park of Sleeping Bear Dunes, to the Fox Islands, the Manitous, and the Beaver Archipelago, this is a lake!
