We rafted the Middle Fork of the Salmon with Far and Away Adventures July 18-24, 2016. We had 11 in our group of friends, and there were 11 others from Seattle who turned out to have friends in common with us. The age range was from 14 to 63. The trip was a blast from start to finish. Our 8... More

Middle Fork River Expeditions (MFRE), owned by James Ellsworth, was incredible. I have run several rivers with friends who are guides, and I cannot speak highly enough of the caliber of guides working for MFRE. They were professional, fun, SAFE, personable, mature and just damn cool people. I enjoyed every moment of the experience. The service, accommodations, food and company... More

I did this trip 2 yrs ago & just when I didn’t think it could get better, they stepped their game up w/the new menu & the ability to fish off the back of the paddle boats put the icing on the cake for me. The seasoned guides (Jame & Eli) were just a great as the time before, and... More

We had a mixed crew, ages 16 to 70, on the Middle Fork this summer, and had the time of our lives. I have run a number of rivers with a variety of outfitters, and MFRE was hands down the best I have ever seen, on every score, from the obvious to the subtle. I'll run this river again, but... More

We were looking for a different trip to celebrate our daughter's graduation from high school and our son's from middle school. My husband and I had done the Middle Fork back in '91 when we graduated from college. We decided this would be the perfect family vacation and the Middle Fork once again did not disappoint us! In fact, our... More

To celebrate my husband's 80th birthday we, together with 15 family members, went down the beautiful, exciting (yet strangely relaxing) middle fork of the Salmon River. Our group ranged from our 9 year old grandson to our 86 year old brother....and we all had a wonderful time. Those who wanted adventure were able to navigate grade 3-4 rapids in inflatable... More

A trip down the Middle Fork makes you feel like a child again, when the world is big and the days are endless and there is excitement around every turn. And I am over 70! The people at Middle Fork River Tours treat the passengers like royalty and the guides have skills that just make you sit back in wonder... More

If you are a kayaker, this should be on your lifetime bucket list. An amazing paddle, spectacular scenery and isolation in the largest wilderness area in the lower 48. Northwest Rafting does it right with great equipment, capable, fun loving competent guides, great food, and a superb front office and owner. The DeRiemers run the kayaking portion of the trip... This is a great experience. We went with NWRC and the trip was wonderful. Terrific guides and overall a top notch river experience. Highly recommend this trip.

Off-the-grid fabulous 6day rafting trip with excellent guides (also wonderful chefs) and great whitewater every day. Comfortable tents (or sleeping underneath the stars even better), mostly your job is to have fun, relax, enjoy alone time or social time with fellow rafters and guides. I greatly enjoyed the stops along the way and in camp to soak in hot springs,... More
