We hiked about 5 miles up the Ruedi overlook trail. The path was good and the fall colours and wide mountain views absolutely fantastic

We drove through this beautiful national forest in early June 2017. There had been a huge snowfall weeks earlier and you could still see snow everywhere. We drove to the top (12,000+ feet) and back down. Lots of people were out hiking, fishing and driving....More

The national forest is full of wonderful hiking trails, nice fly fishing sports, and tons of scenic views. It is a must visit when in Colorado.

The National Forest is rather large, covering hundreds of square miles. Can you me more specific about the area you will be staying? Town? You wouldn’t be disappointed in a cabin, I’m sure.

Honestly, we did not stop to hike, we drove through. We saw lots of people camping and hiking.
