What a beautiful place! The drive is very easy and beautiful, really worth the time you spend there. Recommend at least a few hours so you can really enjoy the views.

Make sure you save a lot of time to explore here. Positively amazing. Was stopped by a local who explained more about the trails. For some reason everyone including the news expressed concern about the weather; it ended up not raining ha. This was my second time here, the first time we stayed at the cottages directly in the Avenue... More

The Avenue of the Giants is lke one huge serene park with the towering redwoods everywhere. We could stop along the road in many places and just get out of the car and walk among them. There was one we could actually stand inside and it is still growing!

Fantastic place to take grandkids reminded grandson of Endor from star wars. My son and daughter in law live near San Francisco and had never been here, enjoyed by all

This is one of my most favorite places. There is majesty and beauty in these groves of these mighty giants. Words cannot express how amazing it is to walk around under these trees. Pictures can only capture a smidgen of their magnitude. I’ve only visited in winter months and mostly it has rained. I love walking under these trees and... More

This was the purpose of our road trip. You can see incredible trees from your car but it's well worth it to step out into a grove or two or three. There are incredible sights within steps of parking in most places. Take the time to hug some of these beauties. It does give one a feeling of ones place... More

We were on a one month driving trip and had the time to do a little more sightseeing. We've been past the turn off for the Avenue of the Giants a number of time but were always in a hurry going someplace else. This year we exited and followed the avenue for quite a few miles. The pace is a... More

Get off the highway and take this drive. We went north to south but the drive would be just as nice in either direction. As you enter the area, stop at the turnouts and pick up a "driving tour". The tour is free and provides a lot of information on the forest and what you are seeing. Do be aware... More

30+ miles of driving through spectacular old growth Redwood forests - you can see the giants up close from your car, or get out and hike a bit in any of the major groves. There are plenty of places to stop and take pictures and stretch your legs. There are picnic spots available as well - lots of easy hiking... More
