Fifty-five miles long Mulholland View, a nature corridor consisting of magnificent trails that make you feel that not losing the horizon and respecting the rights of natural life are the most valuable wealth. Mulholland Parkway and Corridor is one of the most famous streets in the country. Built in 1924, the twenty-four-mile Mulholland Trail in the City of Los Angeles was designed by famed Water Bureau Chief and City Engineer William D. Mulholland as a scenic route that would transport city residents to the mountains and beaches. The winding route begins west of the 101 Freeway in Hollywood and offers panoramic city, mountain and ocean views. About eight miles of the Scenic Parkway, which runs from the 405 freeway west to Woodland Hills, are unpaved and in danger of being closed. The Mulholland Highway begins in the City of Calabasas and runs for thirty miles, winding through the Santa Monica Mountains to Leo Carrillo State Beach. MRCA maintains seven scenic overlooks along the Mulholland Scenic Parkway.

My New Year turned out too good to be true.I was aiming to visit the largest temple in Malibu and the search took me through all the corridors and twists and turns of the canyons for over 2 hours.Everything together...the Pacific coast with blue water, blue sky,the green and brown mountains, the winding roads made it feel like heaven to me.

We drove the entire length of Mulholland Drive and had the opportunity to see many multi-million dollar homes and some beautiful landscapes. The view of LA from up there is spectacular!

We have done both the Eastern and Western portions of this scenic drive. The eastern one is more scenic and has more overlooks over the famous landmarks of the city. About 8 mile stretch between East and West is dirt road which is also cut off with a gate and not a through road!

This area is a quick ride to see a wonderful view of Los Angeles as well as the Hollywood sign. We went when it started raining but it was still worth the trip.

After having been a big fan of the movie 'Mulholland Drive', this just had to happen when we were in LA. And the drive was so amazing. Our friends, residents of Irvine County had never been up there, and they couldn't believe the view either. Amazing views of the entire Los Angeles valley spread out before us. I wish we could see the same views in the night, but I don't know if it is even allowed to go there in the night. Do not miss this if you are in LA.

The drive to and from was a bit scary for a small town girl, but the sights made up for it. LA skyline is phenom! Its a very quiet spot to just take in the sights with that special person. Seen lots of couples. Very romantic. Hazy skies on day of visit, but with good optical zoom, youre set.

Classic lLos Angeles date night - it's part of coming of age to watch the submarine races from one end of Mulholland Drive and the planes land one the other. The view is terrific at all hours of the day and the wildlife, be it deer, bobcats, or an occasional bear, are often seen along the road. It can take an entire day to drive Mulholland Drive as it is bisected by dirt roads that are impassable to motor vehicles. Most of Mulholland Drive is with the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation area.
