Interesting place

We visited the Museo and it was very interesting! Lots of history and beautiful inside. We saw some people with tour guides which I think can be beneficial if you want a more detail experience.

1cuc not worthy

I admire who can build a museum around nothing, even forbidding to take pictures (but paying more you're allowed to, of course!).
Just few rooms to show little pieces of old architecture elements, briefly commented in Spanish.

Interesting insights into design in Trinidad
Jul 2018 • Solo
What I loved most about my visit to this museum was the guided tour. I wandered in alone and a slender elderly lady started to give me directions and explain things - in Spanish. Which I don't speak. But we persisted in our attempt to communicate and by the end of it, I'm sure I understood more than if I'd just looked at all the design elements myself.

Beautiful Museum de Arquitectura Colonial
Jul 2017 • Family
The colonial Arquitectura Museum is beautifully restored building in town center. It is interesting to visit the rooms and to explore the colonial objects and the designs of the famous Trinidad buildings. Well worth a visit but accompanying a guide to explaining historical facts.

A great museum to visit (Trinidad has many of them) the artifacts are well kept, well displayed and the information is clear and informative. It explains a lot about the rich history of this beautiful island.

Two Colonial cities tour - Sancti Spirtus & Trinidad
Apr 2018 • Couples
A full day excursion ( we left at 0730 and returned at 0800) that traverse Cuba from the Atlantic to the Carribean. We stopped at lovely thatched roof restaurant called “El Bosque” for a coffee break and stretch around 0930. About 10:00 we arrived at our first destination of Sancti Spiritus. Here walked the old town commercial promenade with our guide finally ending up a quaint old restaurant for a very excellent sangria. After a quick drink we were off for a 30 min explore on our own. Back on the bus we headed to Trinidad; an old pirate town founded in the late 1500’s. Arriving in Trinidad our first stop was a resort high in the hills, overlooking the town and the Caribbean sea, for one of most delicious lunches I’ve had on a tour. Our next stop was the Pottery shop of Chichi Santander, where within a couple minutes he created a clay pitcher, its lid, and a couple mugs. Quite something to watch this Cuban legend at work. Our last stop was the world heritage site of Trinidad. Our guide led us through the 500 year old cobblestone streets to Cigar Store where a Cuban master demonstrated hand rolling cigars. Then on to the museum to learn some of local history of the area. The museum, and old colonial mansion has an impressive tower. Climb its step, and somewhat narrow stair for a magnificent view of the surrounding town and harbor. We were then free to explore the old town and its shops, buildings and church for the final hour. Strolling through the winding streets you almost expected to see an inebriated Jack Sparrow spill out of a doorway. A 4 hour bus ride returned us to the resort. A very long and busy day. If you enjoy the architecture and history of old colonial times this trip is for you

Fascinating

This former Casa de Padron is an interesting museum. The entrance fee is 1CUC only. Throughout the eight rooms exhibits are displayed in chronological order that range from very early times almost up to when it was colonised. It's worth spending time in because it's so interesting.
