I really enjoyed the shows and the fact that it was less crowded was a bonus. Being Congolese, it was really nice experience to see the similarities in the dance moves and instrument being used while in Cuba.

We spent a lively evening here listening to a fusion band of musicians. The bar drinks menu is eccentric to put it mildly but it didn't seem to matter especially given the low prices. The icing on the cake was us practising our Salsa moves on the cobble terrace in the rain!

A demonstration & performance of afro-Cuban music & dance, this exhibition feels so authentic, rooted in tradition centuries old. The men & women dancers move to the beats of the conga drums. At the end our entire group was up on stage dancing with the performers. Great fun!!

This place is a special place. In Palenque Royals Congos people are in contact with African culture that exist in Cuba. There are also classes Rumba and percussion.
It is a good choice for the night.

A very good trio was playing when we arrived, but the best thing was the show of african percussion and dance that came after that. We enjoyed it enormously.

eems that performances at the famous Casa De La Musica were not too exciting on the night we spent in Trinidad, so we entered the next club on the street - Palenque de los Congos Reales, and were thrilled with the music, the friendliness of the band and the atmosphere at the club.
Entrance is 1 CUC (1 Euro) and it was well worth each and every one of the 100 cents...
They invited people to the stage to participate and dance with the band. It was so exciting and we could hardly leave at midnight (since we were heading a long day the day after).
Very recommended!

15 minutes out of trinidad de cuba you arrive at what was manaka iznaga sugar plant. you come especially for the 50 meters high tower, from which the whole vally is observable, and which had a special role in the past: kook for runaway slaves.
