We entered the place, with skepticism. We sat down for a drink. You go to Casa de la Trova for the music and mostly for the dancing. We found ourselves the greatest salsa teacher of all, Marcellino. You cannot miss him. He is the life...More

We spent a wonderful evening listening to a couple of local bands and watching the locals dance amazingly well. The only downside was that it was incredibly hot that night - it's in an enclosed courtyard and with not much Breeze. Highly recommended.

Casa de la Trova is an open air seating club where many local bands perform. The music was great to listen and dance to. The drinks are very inexpensive. It is a great place to spend an evening with friends or the locals and enjoy...More

I really enjoyed my time here , the band was amazing. Do get here early as after a while it can be hard to find empty seats .The cover is 1CUC . If you like to dance you are in for a treat.

The place to be for locals, drink and good music. Do avoid when tourist groups arrive and spoil the atmosphere. The music here is the best we came across in Trinidad and the local guys quite happily dance with your wife or girlfriend for just...More

This converted colonial mansion is one of the main centers of nightlife in Trinidad; I went with Jeanette to have a couple of drinks, listen to live, Cuban music and shake our eager booties to the rhythms of a tropical band. Knowing what to expect,...More
