We looked at their website before we went to NZ and we were expecting a spectacular view of the Bay but instead the winery is situated ON the bay right next to the water. Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely setting and they...More

I've been to most vineyards on Waiheke and because of its beautiful setting, unpretentious relaxed atmosphere, superb wine, and quality food, Man O' War is my favourite. Well worth making the drive to the far East side of Waiheke for this gem. What greets you...More

A beautiful bay, and a lovely vineyard with an excellent Malbec! There were also lots of seats and comfy bean bags to take in the view, and the drive there wasn't as long as we thought it would be. Definitely worth the visit.

This vineyard is quite a drive from Oneroa or Onetangi but is highly recommended. The drive to the East End gets you through open farmlands with terrific vistas of ocean and islands - just drive slowly and look for other vehicles on narrow gravel road....More

lovely atmosphere sitting on the vast lawns beach side on bean bags drinking wine made on site. The food is limited and really just platters but this is made up for by the top of the line wines

When I imagine myself sitting on a rustic porch staring out to a flat, glassy bay then this is where I want to be. Without a doubt one of the BEST locations on Waiheke & definitely worth the drive & bumpy road!! The Rose was...More

It is worth the drive to Man O' War vineyards. The most beautiful, relaxing setting. Choose a sunny day so you can relax on a bean chair under the trees.Delicious platter accompanied by delicious wine.A must do on Waiheke.

Our small group flew in by helicopter for a wine tasting and it was fabulous. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable and the wine was enjoyable. We sat outside under the trees near the water and enjoyed the hummus, bread and olive oil platter...More

This is the uber cool of vineyards. Beanbags in the gardens overlooked the bay where families will drag their boats onto the beach, walk in and enjoy the fine wines. The simple ploughmans cheese board is worth sampling. We had the Pinot Gris which was...More

I'll be honest Pratik, it's a bit hard to get to if you don't have a car on the island, having said that, it's stunning and well worth the trip. We hired a car on the island very easily, it's such a big place, I think you'd... More
