Unwinding by the water or in a cafe or eating at one of the great places here - or relaxing with a good book - very enjoyable. If you want a place to chill - this could be for you

Lots of ferries flying the sound, including to Wellington. Great way to see the region from the water. Want to do the "mail route" next time I'm in Picton.

A modern playground with a waterpark. Clean modern toilets, manicured lawns , walkway bridges over the marina where stingrays can be spotted. Just gorgeous.

The town is pretty small and you can walk anywhere within 10-15 mins. However, the view was really amazing and we were lucky with the weather.

Lots of walking tracks. e.g. Snout track gives you a great view of the Sounds. Great place to unwind and spend time looking at the beautiful scenery.

This is a very nice place, geared around visitors to the area, with boardwalks and picturesque waters. We come here for a quick visit every time we’re on a cruise that stops at Picton. It’s very nice also that as we disembark the cruise ship...More

Beautiful place to enjoy a quiet moment and a coffee or meal. Great shopping too, we got some great tee shirts for our grandsons. Pity many people went back to the cruise ship and missed a gem.

This is a pretty little town with plenty to see. Don't be in a hurry to get off the ferry and go further without exploring. Take a walk over the coathanger bridge and along the waterside to Bob's Beach. Otherwise go higher and walk along...More
