Informative tour of the sound. The skippers commentary was interesting and was more than happy to answer questions. We were visited by a large pod of bottle nose dolphins and were entertained by their wake surfing and attempts to outdo each other with aerial acrobatics....More

We did a short one day walk from Furneaux Lodge to Punga Cove Resort. This is quite a flat part and quite easy. Beautful views all along the walkway

Any walk overlooking Queen Charlotte Sound is a must for any photographer. The light on most days is clear and the sun or clouds keep changing the atmospheric views and picture taking.

I've been on the Picton/Wellington ferry a few times in the past, but I had forgotten just how fabulous the views are in Queen Charlotte sound. Utterly stunning.

Stunning drive and definitely not to be missed. We had very poor weather and even then it was amazing.

A well maintained track, we just did a short walk to Davey's Bay. It's forested although less dense than Abel Tasman, and so affords better views out to the water. The forest provides good cover from the rain...which there was plenty of while we visited!...More

Did the car route as well as sea trips. Car went by queen Charlotte drive. Very winding but worth it to get an idea of the layout of the sound. Take a picnic and stop at start of track at a kiwi.

We did the walk after unseasonable wet weather and it was quite slippy in places (clay) it is very up and down but we thoroughly enjoyed it and if you walk a lot you will be fine and can take it at your own pace. We are... More

We stayed at the awful Brydon Accomodations in Blenheim, which I can't recommend! There were some nice wineries in the area, if I was returning I would look at one of those.
