A wonderful way to see the Marlborough Sounds and experience the real essence of living in the Sounds. Take the mail boat trip, a new larger boat make it a very comfortable trip with inside or upper deck views. Even a cuppa to enjoy. The views of the Sounds second to none, a beautiful experience to enjoy the slow pace... More

A nice way to see Marlborough sound. We did this as an excursion from our cruise ship. The mail boat really does deliver the mail to several remote locations and each stop seems to be greeted by the resident dog. We also saw several seals en route and passed by a Salmon fishery. Included is a stop at Ship Cove... More

Did the mail boat cruise today. Was a great way to see Queen Charlotte Sound and being from Yorkshire we loved the stop at Ship Cove! Skipper was friendly, boat was lovely, sadly no whales or dolphins to be seen but these things can't be helped! Would definitely do another tour with these guys if were staying in the area... More

Wanted to walk QTC but were time poor so decided to do a 1/2 day walk instead. We caught the Beachcomber cruise at 0800 out to Ship Cove and walked the 15km to Furneaux Lodge (Endeavour Inlet). Boat was clean and tidy, skipper was friendly. When he spotted a fairy penguin swimming in the sound and a pod of dolphins... More

They gave me a ride to Ship Cove where I started my day walk on the QCT. The skipper was friendly, but I had expected more and more detailed information on the Marlborough Sounds while cruising.

We did the 3,5 hr cruise. The staff were all friendly and the boat clean and in good condition. The commentary very informative. The scenery is beautiful and awe inspiring. We were lucky to spot dolphins too. Our 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We sat outside the entire time and were lucky to enjoy good weather too.

We took this cruise in order to get a good look around the Sounds. It was perfect! Skipper John was fabulous and very informative and happily answered all our questions. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a decent look around. It was a bit rainy when we took it so I could only imagine it would be stunning on... More

We took the world famous mail tour. This is a great trip with so much history. As a dog lover, you get to view multiple bay stop overs where dogs wait with their owners for the drop off and a treat. There was also a 20 minute stop at ship cove. We happened to see a few dolphins on the... More

A group of us did the queen Charlotte walk. Beachcomber transferred u to the start and transferred luggage to each of our accommodations on the walk. One person did not walk and we're transferred with the luggage. The boat owner was vary helpful and knowledgeable about the area and provided lots of good info. I think it was John. After... More
