My husband, parents and I went on a 4 hour trip with Jack and Paul through the Queen Charlotte Sounds - it was amazing!! We saw seabirds, fur seals and dolphins. We also spent a wonderful hour on an island native bird sanctuary. Jack and Paul were extremely knowledgable and friendly - they even organised for the weather to clear... More

Not only did we see some incredible wildlife and a closer look of the bays and sounds on the tour, but the captain and his crew were very friendly and knew a lot of history of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would 100% recommend it!

I arrived in Picton with around 5 hours of waiting time until my ferry to Wellington so I wanted to kill time and visited the local i-Site desk. They suggested E-Ko Wildlife Tours which consisted of a cruise around the Marlborough Sounds and a nature walk on Motuara Island. The jetty was not far away and soon I was signed... More

This was SO fun. This is definitely a tour that does exactly was it promises and doesn't disappoint. The guide, Jack, and the driver, Paul, were so great. There was a little boy with his parents and the rest of us were adults but they were so sweet about helping him have fun, and telling us interesting facts and stories... More

A beautiful cool afternoon spent cruising in the Queen Charlotte Sounds gazing at stunning sights and experiencing some of NZ's most rear wildlife. The walk on Motuara Island is a reasonable easy walk up, spying on Little Blue Penguin in their hutches and picturesque views of surrounding areas. We were lucky to see a Hectors Dolphin, Seals, Salmon Farm, Cormorant,... More

Wow!! .....my Mother-in-Law (no this isn't the start of a 1970s comic's opening line) said that this was the greatest experience of her life (much to the chagrin of her family surpassed her wedding, birth of children, arrival of grand children etc.etc.) The guys at EKO tours managed to turn on 25 degree weather, seas like a millpond & more... We decided to go out for the afternoon tour of the sound and it did not dissapoint. The staff was very well informed and very friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go swimming with the dolphins the next morning. This is a must to really experience the beauty of picton.

What an afternoon of cruising the Queen Charlotte Sound... Awesome staff, very knowledgeable... The bird sanctuary was amazing and so beautiful, it was great to climb to the top to see where Captain Cook had supposedly treatised with the Maoris and raised the english flag (although I am not sure that is to celebrate really), the views at the top... We have had the most excellent day doing an E-Ko tour - we had it all! On the way out to Bulmine Island we saw heaps of dolphins (at least 100) they really put on a fantastic display of jumping and doing flips. On Bulmine Island we enjoyed a very pleasant walk out to the gun emplacements from WWW II.... More
