The description lead me to think we were going to wine country and have access to wineries. Instead we were dropped off in a nondescript town on a Sunday (everything was closed) with no wineries for miles. Take a picture of the train at the station and save your money.

The steam train was restored to its original state. Awesome tour and day visiting the WW1 and 2 museums. Can highly recommend this tour.

I would have rate this higher but my wife and daughter felt it was a bit long. They do not enjoy old trains as I do. The train goes through beautiful countryside and you have time in the city of Blenheim before you head back.

If you don't have any strong plans while in the region this trip is a great cruise excursion alternative. I wouldn't purchase through the cruise line as they offer it at a premium. You get a small glass of wine and a scenic view as you travel to Marlborough. Recommend walking down to Renaissance Brewing while you're down there. Do note that if you're in the first couple of cars keep the doors closed. The smoke and soot will likely make its way inside.…
