Finally my children are realizing what the monuments are about. Walk through to see the beautiful park next to the water with a children's play area with a ship and water jets for the little ones to run in and out of. Check out the mini golf which is towards the port.

Visited on Thursday 17th May. This is situated in Pride of Place near the waters edge in Picton, you can't miss it as you walk around the town.

Really simple and well done - constructed at the top of the green space park leading down to the little beach and the waters edge. Really peaceful and lovely to sit in the space and reflect.

Well maintained monument in a beautiful park. Across the road from the main shopping area.

A fitting tribute to those men who gave their life for a better future for others. Some may say it’s in a strange location but considering ships sailed out of this port, I believe that the organisation got it right.
A beautiful backdrop that softens what to many is a somber memorial. “Lest we forget”

New Zealander’s of all colours and creed are remembered so respectfully and with such reverence. This war memorial is impressive and takes pride of place overlooking the bay.

This simple but unusual war memorial is located right on the waterfront in downtown Picton. Spend a couple of thoughtful minutes here - worth the visit.
