A delightful autumn day, few crowds and glorious sunshine made this a great day for a sail in Akaroa Bay. Ray (skipper) makes you feel as if you're a special guest. With a wealth of local knowledge, Ray seems to have built a rapport the local Hector dolphins, who dash up to his boat and pop up their beaks to... More

We had a lovely trip. Captain Ray is very nice and found the dolphins (or did they find him?) What is better than sailing on a late summer afternoon with sun on our face?

Captain Ray knows his waters and wildlife well. His "crew" are encouraged to take a hand in sailing the yacht. We spent a lovely afternoon on the water. Thank you, Ray.

My fiance and I had an amazing, relaxing, and very interesting trip out with Captain Ray. The entire experience was a delight from start to finish, and we could not have asked for a better host on board!

What a fantastic 2 1/2 hours. Sailing on the harbour, with engine turned off, with owner/skipper Ray in control and enjoying the wonderful Dolphins and other wildlife. Absolute value for money and an unforgettable time

We had a wonderful afternoon cruising around Akaroa Harbour. It helped that the weather was beautiful, but the silence and the wildlife - and Ray's commentary - made it a trip to treasure. It was a spur of the moment decision to go on a boat trip on a beautiful and crafted wooden sailing ship - SV Manutara - in... More

A perfect way to see the Hector Dolphins. A group of eight or more were enjoying swimming around the boat for 15mins or longer giving us ample time to enjoy watching these lovely creatures. Skipper Ray was so informative, telling us of the history of Akaroa and the harbour, the two and a half hours flew past! Ros. W

My husband and I were walking on the wharf when Ray and his Akaroa Sailing Cruise tour was returning. All the passengers had great smiles and stated that this was a fun and wonderful experience. So...we booked for the next day. we were joined by 3 other couples for a 2.5 hour cruise that was fun, and so informative. Captain... More

Ray is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly skipper who knows and understands the waters of Akaroa Harbour intimately, we were priviledged to be accompanied by up to seven dolphins frolicing in our bow wave for nearly half an hour. Wonderful afternoon in a lovely wooden sailing boat with an interesting commentary,Thanks John and Karen UK
