My husband has been wanting to take a ride on the Fremantle Wheel so I bought Groupon Tickets. Advertised as no need for bookings as it operates every day except in severe weather we did the long drive to Fremantle and paid for parking only to find a sign at the front of the wheel “CLOSED”. Richard was on duty and advised there was a safety issue and the wheel wouldn’t be working for the rest of the day! He told us to come back another day or request a refund! An extremely disappointing experience and no support from the company especially since their website shows the wheel is open. Wouldn’t recommend making a special trip to Fremantle for this as we haven’t had our ride or a refund! I’ve Phoned and Emailed the company and had no response.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Little Creatures with my family and decided to check out the Freo Ferris wheel. What a joke!! Price on board said $12per adult and $10per child. So total should of been $32. But the young guy said 2% processing fee. So total was $46.65. Like seriously!! That's soo not worth it for under 5mins. Went to maritime museum instead and cheaper.

Unsafe place for young children. When I was paying the thickets, my 2 year old got away near the carriage via Exit as there is only a chain blocking. Stuff including manager Brendan are rude and arrogant. Instead of realising the potential risk, they blame customer not restraining/holding their children at all the times. If a 2 year old is allowed to have a ride, the facility should be safe for that age group and the fact is it's not at all!!

Great ride highly recommend, we had 4 lovely rotations( 1or2 more would of been nice) we had 5 adults go on and only got charged for 5 children $50. We watched a beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean. The staff were lovely and friendly as they are helpful for directions around Fremantle it self. PS they have eftpos which was very handy ;p

Should be cheaper as its not really that spectacular. $11 adult $10 kids .....You can get just as good a view FREE from the Round House or Monument Hill.

We did this on the spare of the moment on our way down to Fishing Boat Harbour. Mum’s in a wheelchair but that wasn’t a problem for the staff. They were more than happy to set up the ramps and help us into the gondola.

The price was really cheap considering it’s a touristy thing. It gives some great views of the harbour, Fremantle and out over the ocean.

It was ‘wheelie good’!

We've been watching and waiting for over an hour but there has been no movement either human or mechanical in that time. Very frustrating as it was rotating as we walked through the park just before 12. No extra signage - no explanation - and no phone number to find out the status. Ridiculous. And a number of probable riders missed.

Well to say I was disappointed was an understatement took our granddaughter who is 3 who was so excited to go on it with her grandparents and family who are over from Adelaide and Melbourne. We looked up the time it was going to open 12pm went the sign said 1pm so we hung around went for another work our granddaughter played on the play ground went back and they said 5 more minutes and then they turned the clock till 2pm saying they needed to check the back up battery. I understand the safety of this but why didn't they come in at 10am and do all the checks left Perth with out the experience and my granddaughter was very disappointed. Just to let you know each time they changed the time their would have been between 15 and 20 people waiting big loss in business.

Kids and adults will enjoy this ride and the views of Free mantle and the Ocean are great. Close to the seafront and a small park and play area ideal for small ones to run around and let off steam. Bars close by.

We were the only ones on the wheel. We went round about 4 times, not sure if that was because we were the only ones on it or if thats what you normally get.
Had fantastic views when we got to the top, it didnt feel too high when at the top, although the car does swing quite easily when you move on your seat, however it didnt move enough to feel unsafe or to make you feel uneasy.
Well priced too $20 for 2.
