We live in Perth and Port is our favorite beach, soft waves, beautiful coloured waters and safe swimming beyond the waves. The waves are big enough for some bodyboarding for kids but not too intimidating for little ones. Yes there is some industry in the background but it's easy to ignore

WELL.... IT'S EASY TO PARK, with no charges, or limits to your stay ! You can change in the toilets as it has benches . A walk from the car park to the beach , watch your feet on the hot sands ! Golden sands greet you , with a narrow , but long stretch of coast . The surf... More

A little out of town, but a nice clean beach to visit just iout of town. There are closer beaches if you don't have a car or your own transport.

Great to see so many families out at this relatively flat, easily accessible beach. Plenty of room along here to find your own spot and go frolicking in the water.

One of the popular beach in WA. Beautiful scene and great place for picnic and to do water activities. Great location with easy access by car, train and free cat bus.

Port Beach is my preferred beach in Perth, with its pristine white soft sand that's comfortable for lying, yet is firm enough for energetic brisk walking at the water's edge. Very wide beach, picnic tables at the dune top near parking lots, watch kite surfing, enjoy the Fremantle Doctor cooling breezes, and surf. Scarborough has too many yobbos; Cottesloe drops... More

This is where we swim mostly especially in summer early In morning when the sun isn't too hot and it is very calm. Sometimes you may encounter some little stingers but not ally.

Great place for a swim, and never any problems parking. Very close to the port, hence the name, so you can see shipping containers from the beach. There a bar and a cafe there which are well worth a visit too.

This remains one of the best beaches to visit. It has fabulous views of the ocean and entry to the Fremantle Port, where you can watch the ships go in and out. Good beach for swimming and for the whole family, good areas for walking and jogging. Even on bad days, the view from the car park is great, so... More
