To get the full experience you need to take the long walk up to the face of the cliff and experience the sound and force of the fall

This has to be one of the most photographed waterfalls in Europe, and for good reason. (You can also find numerous old prints of it online, so it’s been popular for a very long time.) You can’t miss tons of water pouring down over the...More

A wonderful and scenic valley’s best waterfall...easily one of the best in Europe. Put on a swimsuit in summer and hike until you can’t go any further and feel the glacier melt coming down. The Swiss ensure your safety by haveing a tunnel to protect...More

The waterfall is gorgeous. There's a strenuous climb up to the base of the fall, where you can see...nothing. There's a lovely view of the valley, but no view whatsoever of the fall. I wouldn't bother, but if your into the photos, the view of...More

This is the waterfall you're likely to see online if you google images of Lauterbrunnen. You can see it as you enter the valley on the train from Interlaken. There is a path to hike up the rocks behind the fall as well, but as...More

We walked from Lauterbrunnen towards the Trümmelbach falls, passing by the Staubbach fall. Absolutely beautiful to watch from underneath, how the fall “desintegrates” due to wind and next to it becomes a wonderful “curtain of little streems” runnind down the rocky mountain.

This is the waterfall you see all over Pinterest. It really is pretty, especially with the sun hitting it. There's a hike up into the rocks behind the falls but it's VERY steep/narrow and once you get to the top/as far as you can go,...More

The Staubbach Falls have an impressive fall of some 1000 meters. It is possible to get behind the falls and really feel them.

What can you say...a freefall waterfall that drops 1000ft! You can walk up inside the cliff face to.around 300ft and stand behind the waterfall which is an experience especially when it has been raining! The waterfall is beautifully floodlit at night giving great photograph opportunities!

Agree with the weather. Definitely can walk the trail to the observation platform. If sunny beautiful, but more likely cloudy and cold.

It is an easy flat walk through and just south of the town. It is less than a mile and should take you around 20 minutes each way.
