A very quiet hideout

The filagoria is on Alžbetin Ostrov on a beautiful narrow road running in the middle of the peninsula. On the two sides of the road are ancient, enormous sycamore trees, and you continuously have to search, since the Jokaiho Filagoria isn't signposted. Enjoying my walk in a peaceful environment, I missed my aim, and only with the help of my mobile was I able to find it. Coming from the direction of Alzbetin Most, it is on the left side of the road. At first glance, it's just like an empty, unbuilt site. Then you notice the filagoria hiding under the foliage of the trees. I wouldn't call it beautiful or unique. Its value comes only from the fact that the great writer loved to sit here.
There is a wrought-iron grille between the pillars of the Philagoria, with a gate on one side, and around a little clearing with benches under the trees. Opposite the road, a board reports that "This place, the former Beöthy Garden, was Jókai's favorite residence. This monument was erected in his honor in 1913."
Before you go back, sit down on one of the benches and think of Komarom, the great storyteller who rested here 120-130 years ago.
