Beautiful park
Sep 2020 • Couples
This lovely little park can be found over the ponte de lima .Turn right by the church of st antonio to find the entrance gate .it was a wet miserable day in september on our visit but still loved it .The paths take you round the outskirts under the vines into the different themed gardens .the roman garden and rose garden were lovely even on a damp day you could tell this would be a nice place to sit and enjoy the flora and fountains .would love to visit again hopefully in summer .would make a nice spot for children too as has a childrens play area .

We Loved This Garden
May 2019
The garden was a lovely stroll on a warm day. Well kept and well laid out. Don't miss it - it does not take long to explore it.

Kids give it a 5

Wandered into this park after walking across the bridge. The gardens themselves are lovely and the kids were pleasantly surprised to find a fitness area where played happily while most of the adults explored.

Don't miss this romantic park NEAR THE BRIDGE (and bring your kids)
Jul 2018 • Family
You will find this park when you cross the old bridge and turn right. The entrance is just past the church. Hardly any tourists, which is hard to believe given it's location!

It is one of the loveliest and most romantic parcs I've seen. Very green and luscious, beautifully kept. It has ponds, covered walks overgrown with grapevines and wisteria, rose gardens, ponds, grass, statues and even one of those famous old grain storage contraptions.

It is open every day until 18:00.

If you continue down the park toward the end, you'll find a spacious playground and a fitness area, but everything about it is lovely. Very varied, beautifully kept, lot's of variety. It's nice and cool, too, which is another plus!

If you're looking for the exit: you leave through the same gate you entered (took me a while!). And if you love photography, make sure you don't miss it. Lot's of photo opps.

Springtime visit

Stunning with wisteria dripping everywhere. Calm, meditative park free to the public. Situated on the banks of the river with a lovely view of Ponte de Lima and the Roman Bridge, this was a go-to early morning/late afternoon walk, contemplating spot.

A Hidden Gem in this Lovely Town...do not tell others!!!
Sep 2016 • Couples
When we were growing up we loved to wander and discover new things...the sun was shining....we found this lovely garden behind the church.....it was loaded with fabulously planned walkways with grape vine covered trellises, lilly pond fountains with little fish, a proper rose garden, a greenhouse with birds, well planned and designed benches of wrought iron or wood, lovely little people playgrounds and also a big people playground........AMAZING and hidden from most tourists!!!!!

This casual discovery captured us for 60-90 minutes despite our need to move on to other parts of our day. We will return
