We had a great visit although it was a bit short. The highlight was kayaking on Dunajec - highly recommended, especially compared to the other options. Beautiful views and great fun trying to control the kayak - we are pretty much novices and found it...More

We started the walk from the Polish village of Sromowce Nizne, called into the ‘Red Monastery’ across the river in Slovakia and continued along the River Dunajec thru the beautiful gorge for miles till we eventually arrived in Szczawnica. It is magical 😎

Hi Mary, of course you can find many different trails and paths for everyone. The Pieniny Mountains are very friendly to people who want to walk there, doesn't matter whether they are women with children or older people. There are also two chairlifts and you can go up the hill and walk down with the beautiful views around. The gorge, which you mentioned, is beautiful and I prefer to go up on the chairlift and walk down 😄. Remember that sometimes the gorge is very crowded and busy.
