Fantastic walk

A long but really good walk. Lots of different terrains ranging from lakeside, to woodland, to countryside to urban

Long Walk but it is Worth It
Jul 2019 • Couples
There is a walk some 12 km long around the Svet Lake. We went about some 3 hours, but we did it including few pubs and refreshment. Highly recommended.

Nice stroll
May 2019 • Couples
Walked around the lake with the dog. It is definitely a lake and not a pond. Enjoyed the stroll. The water is nice and there were certainly plenty of wildlife. Plenty of people too. The weather was not great but enjoyed the walk all the same.

Breathtaking
Oct 2018 • Solo
The whole area around this lake is so beautiful but especially the Schwarzenberg tomb. Such a majestic looking building in the forest. I rode my bike all thru here on a fall day and it was beautiful. There’s also a small little white church not far from the tomb.

Pond closest to Trebon
Aug 2018
Large pond closest to the city of Třeboň, that is used by the local fisheries to raise carp fish, you can see them swimming close to the surface of the water. We have taken a 45 minute boat cruise around the lake, 140 Kc per person, there is a bar on the lower deck and refreshments including beer can be brought up to the upper deck. The cruise itself is quite uneventful, not much to see except an island in the middle, and no info was given by the captain. Not really worth the price. We saw a little train picking up visitors and taking them around the lake, that may be more fun, there were lots of families biking.

Very large pond
Jan 2018 • Couples
The name of this attraction is not correct, it is not a lake but a pond. Not natural but artificially made. Second largest in the country. In any case - excellent!

An ancient castle with a view
Jun 2017 • Friends
It is quite relaxing to walk along the coast of the lake, watching parents playing with their children in the water. The old castle was actually in the woods.

Man made lake
May 2016 • Couples
This lake was built in 16th century by Jakub Krcin. It is the 14th largest lake in the Czech Republic. There ins't anything out of ordinary about this lake, it has plenty of carp in it as the best carp comes from Trebon.

Trebon: Peaceful, calm and nice
Sep 2015 • Business
I lived in this city for about 3 months...the city is a bit small, you can walk around trebon in 2-3 hours...its very peaceful and beautiful like most of the cities in Czech Republic...for the good points of Trebon- if you love to be yourself, love a peaceful locality and like to go for a calm and satisfying walk then go to Trebon...its also famous for its spas and they are quite good for the older people
for the negative points- it is not that hippy and hence, you will struggle to find young people here in this city...there is only one disco/night bar which has an entry fee and which has crowd coming into it only after midnight...

Travel around the World in three hours
Sep 2015 • Couples
A roughly 200-hectare fish pond by the name of Svět (World) offers a 12-kilometre walk along meadow and forest paths that give you a chanc e to "walk around the world" in a mere three hours! Good shoes are not a must but will definitely help you to enjoy the trip! At a section not exceeding 400 metres you may encounter hordes of cyclists who either cannot read or ride so fast that they miss warnings prohibiting cycling and therefore force they way along a path about two feet wide! On the other hand, there is another section where cycling is prohibited in the park next to the Schwarzenberg Mausoleum which ban - however - is utterly unnecessary! There is plenty of room for anybody so, obviously, 11 out of every ten riders would ignore the prohibition! Enjoy your stay in Třeboň!
