A beautiful monument to thepeople that died in the plague. You can see those monuments in every city main square. That is one of the ompressive ones.

This column is in the main town square or namesti of Trebon. Both the column and the square are beautiful examples of renaissance and baroque buildings and architecture. And, a big plus- this lovely town, at least when we were there, is not clogged with tour groups

This baroque pillar was built in 1780 by Leopold Huber. You can see the statues of St. Joseph, St. Adalbert and St. Elizabeth. It is illuminated after dark.

Very beautiful baroque pillar with its history on it)). You won't miss it in Třeboň - it's in the centre of Masarykovo Náměstí - central (very beautiful!!!)) square of Třeboň!

Central on the square (Masarykova náměstí) stands the Baroque Marian pillar dating back to 1781 (created by Leopold Hüber, České Budějovice), paid by of husband and wife Jan and Alžběty Pilsových. On the Prism obelisk the statue of Immaculata (Mary Immaculate) resting on a massive triangular pedestal. On its socle sculptures of Holy Elizabeth, Joseph and Adalbert, reliefs of the St. Florian and John of Nepomuk. After sunset, the pillar as well as the tower and the old city hall are nicely lit…
